Run Through Beautiful Wine Country

Drink MO Wine Run

SATURDAY MAY 3, 2025

Join us for this magnificent 3rd annual Drink MO Wine Run in Augusta, Missouri! The runs begin in the quaint and hilly town of Augusta. After touring around the quiet, historical streets, you head down to the Katy Trail for some flat, fun miles. The 5k and 10k turn around and head back while the half marathoners will enter Klondike Park and enjoy the beautiful, wooded technical trails. After looping around the unique park, runners head back to amazing Augusta to finish!


These wineries will be on your passport: Noboleis, Augusta Winery, Balducci Vineyards, Montelle Winery, Mount Pleasant Estates - we appreciate their support! Have fun on your tour!

TIME: 7:30am – 11:00am


AGENDA & DESCRIPTION:
7:00am-8:30am – Half marathon race day packet pickup. We highly encourage that all athletes pick up their packets at the pickup event on Friday, May 2nd (see above for more details), but if you cannot race day packet pickup is available from 8:00am-8:30am for the half marathoners.


9:00am – Race start begins for Half Marathon participants.

 

8:30am-9:45am – 5K & 10K race day packet pickup. We highly encourage that all athletes pick up their packets at the packet pickup event on Friday, May 2nd (see above for more details), but if you cannot race day packet pickup is available from 9:15am-9:45am for 5K & 10K athletes. 

10:15am – Race start begins for 5K/5K Ruck and 10K/10K Ruck participants. 

ON COURSE NUTRITION:

Water and electrolyte drink will be available at aid stations along the course for all athletes. Please carry your own nutrition.


FINISH LINE FUN:

The finish line will include local businesses, light snacks, drinks and an award ceremony at the park adjacent to Mount Pleasant Winery.  All athletes receive a "Passport to Missouri Wine Country" to guide you through the area wineries and shops. Chick-fil-A will have sandwiches for sale for spectators, credit card only please.

 

In addition to the race, there’s even more to look forward to on race day! The wineries will host Derby Day activities, live music, and complimentary trolley rides between vineyards. Plus, while you’re in Augusta, you can enjoy the final day of the Augusta Plein Air Art Festival, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

 


AWARDS:
Listen for announcements. We will do the awards as soon as the majority have finished.

  • Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers for each race

    • Top Overall Male & Female Finisher for each race will also receive a bottle of wine + Sangria courtesy of Noboleis Vineyards​

  • Top 3 Age Group Male & Female Awards for each race in the following age categories: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ 

 

RACE CUTOFFS: Half marathon distance athletes have 3.5 hours to complete the half marathon. 5K and 10K distance athletes have 2 hours to complete the 5K and 10K.

Race management reserves the right to remove an athlete from the course and DNF the athlete if course officials determine there is no possibility of an athlete finishing before the posted cut off times based on an athlete’s location, time, and average speed up to that point.

 

RUCK GUIDELINES:

All Ruckers must complete the 5K or 10k race wearing a weighted ruck or vest. Athletes must provide their own rucks/vests and are responsible for having them weighed at the registration area prior to start. Weight monitor(s) will mark bags for dry weight. Bags/vests will be weighed for dry weight only, please remove any water, snacks, first aid kits or other items that may be considered consumables before entering the weigh station. Ruckers will also be responsible for checking in at the weigh station again once they finish the race to have their ruck/vest weighed again. 

The dry weight for the 5k Ruck is 20lbs and for the 10k Ruck is 30lbs at minimum. Maximum is determined by Rucker.

RACE SWAG GUARANTEE:

Last day to register to guarantee race swag is April 7, 2025.

INCLEMENT WEATHER & REFUND POLICY:
There is NO inclement weather makeup date. In case of inclement weather,
management reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In any case there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complementary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe, and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety. We have a strict NO REFUND policy.

PHOTO DISCLAIMER:

There may be a photographer on site capturing pictures of the event. Since this is a public event, we reserve the right to post photos on our social media or agency website. Photos may also be used in promotional materials.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION:
Spectators, the unsung hero of races. Without family and friends there to cheer us forward, the rigors of our sport would be far more difficult. MSE Racing is dedicated to ensuring that these vital portions of our triathlon family are given the opportunity to enjoy themselves while they wait for the next opportunity to see you fly by.


MSE Racing is proud to provide the following amenities:

  • Food options available for purchase so that spectators can have something to eat

  • Music for additional entertainment

  • Vendor and club booths available to visit
