Women's Winter Hiking Retreat

Weekend SCHEDULE
LOCATION:
Join Sally for a rejuvenating winter escape at Camp Manitowa, designed for women who love a little adventure and nature.
Stay cozy in our heated cabins or yurts, and enjoy guided excursions on the camp bus to explore stunning state parks and scenic winter hiking trails.
After a day of hiking, unwind by the bonfire at the new outdoor kitchen, where we'll share delicious dinners. Take part in arts and crafts, a winter foraging workshop, hang by the fire, and spend peaceful time in nature.
Here is the tentative schedule. Please keep in mind, you can do all of it or pick and choose!
Friday:
3:30-4:30pm - Arrive and get settled in your yurt
4:30pm - Camp tour with Dan & Sally
5:00pm – Gather for a rundown of the weekend events,
introductions, meet our facilitators, & mini-meditation to set intentions for the weekend
6:00pm – Dinner - the food will be amazing
Bonfire and social time
Saturday:
Anytime: Hike around camp trails
7:30 – Coffee available in the kitchen
8:00am - BREAKFAST
9:00am – Depart on the camp bus to Giant City Park in Shawnee National Forest
11:30pm - Lunch - we will bring our grab n' go lunches and enjoy them at a picnic table or on the bus between hikes.
Note: We will do 2-3 short hikes that may take 1-2 hours each.
3:00pm - Arrive back at camp, change, get cozy!
3:30pm - Yoga for all levels
4:45pm - Foraging for winter wreaths & wreath making with Sara Ward of Wildflowers + sips
6:00pm – Dinner
7:00pm - Music, dancing, & fun around the bonfire
Sunday options:Sunday options:
7:30am - Coffee available in the kitchen & Grab n Go BREAKFAST
8:15ish - Hike around camp with Sally
9:00am Yoga for all levels
10:00am - Option for ropes course, hike, arts and crafts, or kayaking depending on the weather. Sally will offer direction after yoga.
11:15am - Brunch & reflection
During the entire camp, you can pick and choose what you will attend. Curate your weekend!
Take all the free time that you want!
Sleep late, have a friend grab you breakfast!
What to bring:

Bedding & towels (if you are flying in, contact Sally about this)

A variety of clothing/hats for activities and weather changes

Hiking boots or hiking shoes

Wool socks, gloves, neck warmer, hat

Small backpack to carry your drinks/food on the hikes
